Through a competitive audition process our Full Orchestra comprised of our top
string orchestra (Chamber Orchestra) and our top band (Wind Ensemble) has been selected
to perform at the 2017 Colorado Music Educators Conference held at the Broadmoor Hotel
January 28th at 10:15am. We truly recognize that this opportunity and honor
would not be possible without the HRHS community support.
We are providing a "Send Off Concert" to the community
January 26th at 7pm in the HRHS auditorium. There is no cost to attend.
Highlands Ranch Area Orchestra Camp
February 3-4, 2017
Back by popular demand! Highlands Ranch Area Orchestra Camp will be held
on Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th, 2017.
Any students in grades 3 through 8 who are playing a string instrument are invited
and encouraged to attend though it is not mandatory.
Students attending the camp will be involved in a variety
of musical activities including:

orchestra rehearsals, sectionals, a conducting workshop,
performances by high school musicians, classes on how to tune your own instrument,
hold your bow correctly, and how to produce a professional quality sound.
There will be a final camp concert for family and friends at the close of the camp.
