WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back to EBOP!

We have been working very hard on the logistics for this school year.

As many of you know, Beginning EBOP will now be available at the
Elementary school you attend before the regular school day begins!

Advanced EBOP will still meet at Highlands Ranch High School
in the morning and ride the bus to elementary school after class.

All next week, our EBOP staff will be attending an assembly at each of
the seven feeder elementary schools to raise excitement and hand out flyers.

Our Instrument Rental Night will be:
Thursday, August 31, 2017
6:00pm to 7:00pm
at Highlands Ranch High School
in the Lower Gym

If you have not registered yet, please click on the Registration tab.
Right now, the cost will be $325 until August 31st. After the
Instrument Rental Night, the price will increase to $350. (Payments
will be collected beginning on and after the Instrument Rental Night
and the amount due will be determined by the time stamp on your
registration)

We know many of you are inquiring about the schedule. We are in the 
final phase of confirming dates/times/classrooms at each elementary.
We hope to have the schedule within the week and will post it as soon
as it is ready.

Please check back soon for schedule/classroom location/teacher at each
school and information on our new ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEM!

We are excited to see the students again and can't wait to hear how they
have progressed over the summer!

Final Information for 16-17 School Year


Thursday, May 4th - 
All EBOP Students should be present by 7:15 am for Certificates and Donuts. Students only please and they do not need to bring their instruments. This event is very casual. Here at HRHS we have AP Exams going on in the Performing Arts Classrooms, so space is very limited. If you choose to attend with your child, please understand there will be standing room only. This is the last day of EBOP for this school year, congratulations!

End of Year Instrument Try Out for next school year is May 9 from 5 PM to 7 PM. Designed for new students to help select their instrument. Current EBOP students do not need to attend unless you are considering a different instrument for next year. Unfortunately, the music representatives will NOT be set up to handle instrument returns at this event. Our hope is that you hold on to your instrument over the summer to practice or attend private lessons. If you must return your instrument, please contact the company you rented from and make arrangements.

End Of Year Information -Please Read Entire Post!

Please Read ALL Information - There is a lot to get through for the end of the year!

1-No classes on Friday, April 21st

2-EBOP Tour May 1st & 2nd: Permission forms distributed/collected next week (4/24-4/28)
(3rd Grade Students Do Not Go On Tour- No Regular Classes)
  • Students will arrive at Highlands Ranch High School at their normal time (7:15am)
  • Students will be loaded on two buses at 8:00am
  • Students should wear their blue EBOP shirt with black pants/skirt and black shoes
  • Students should bring a water bottle/sack lunch labeled with their name, peanut free
Monday, May 1, 2017 - Beginning Band and Beginning Orchestra 
Only Beginning 4-6 grade Students will come to EBOP - No Regular Classes
Performance times and Schools they will visit:
8:40am - Lone Tree Elementary
9:40am - Acres Green Elementary
10:40am - Eagle Ridge Elementary
Students will eat their sack lunch back at their school when they arrive
Students will return to their school on the bus after the last performance around 11:30am

Tuesday, May 2, 2017 - Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra
Only Advanced Students will come to EBOP - No Regular Classes

Performance times and Schools they will visit:
8:40am - Platte River Academy
9:40am - Cougar Run Elementary
10:40am - Fox Creek Elementary
11:40am - Lunch (students will need to pack a sack lunch that can be thrown away)
12:30pm - Arrowwood Elementary
Students will return to their school on the bus after the last performance around 1:20pm

3- Final Concert is Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 6:00pm, Highlands Ranch High School Auditorium
  • Students should arrive at 5:15pm
  • Students should wear their blue EBOP shirt with black pants/skirt and black shoes
4-The week of May 1st - May 5th
  • May 1st & 2nd - Only students who are going on Tour will come to Highlands Ranch, No Regular Classes
  • May 2nd - Final Concert
  • Wednesday, May 3rd - No Classes

Spring General Information



Some information to keep in mind as we move through spring. 

Spring Break
  • This Friday, March 17th is a "No School Day" for students and there will be No EBOP Classes
  • Spring Break is March 20th - 24th and there will be No EBOP Classes
  • Regular classes will resume Monday, March 27th

Testing days

We encourage your child to attend regular EBOP classes in the morning during the up coming Testing days. It is a wonderful way to wake up their brains and get those neurons firing! As long as buses are running and school is in session, we will have regular EBOP classes.

Weather

Anyone who has lived in Colorado for a while knows the weather can change in the blink of an eye. Spring can bring some of our heaviest snow storms. Please keep in mind,  If Douglas County Schools have a "Late Start" or "School is Cancelled" due to weather conditions, there will be NO EBOP classes

Concert Information!

We are so excited to present
EBOP Spring Concert
Wednesday, March 8, 2017
6:00pm
Highlands Ranch High School Auditorium


Here are a few things to know:
  1. Please have students at HRHS by 5:15pm
  2. Please wear your blue EBOP T-shirt, black pants/skirt, and black shoes (same as Feeder Festival Concert)
  3. The performance is free and seating is general admission
  4. Parents and guests, please plan on staying for the entire performance (approx. 80 minutes)
  5. The order of performances is - Beg.Strings, Adv.Strings, Beg.Band, Adv.Band

*If you did not receive a blue EBOP T-shirt at the beginning of the year
please let your EBOP teacher know the next time you attend class.
