2020 Fall Rehearsals

Thank you for supporting your child in his/her endeavors into the world of music. Band and Orchestra programs are a family that provide a collection of experiences and skills that are unique and rewarding. Unfortunately with restrictions due to covid, EBOP is not able to begin this semester. We are hoping that guidance will evolve enough that EBOP classes may resume in the spring semester. We will keep you up to date on any changes. In the meantime, we hope that your students will continue to practice individually and prepare for a time when we can all be together again. Additional information and practice activities will be posted on this website throughout the fall semester. 


If you know of other interested/future EBOP families, please share with them our disappointment but also our hope for spring rehearsals. Thank you again for your support!

Concert Time

The EBOP band will have a concert this Thursday, 2/13/20 at 6:30 pm in the HRHS commons.  EBOP band students should be there at 5:30PM. Dinner will not be provided.

Good Afternoon!
We regret to inform you that for the time being, cellos and percussion kits are not allowed on school buses. 
We're working hard with our administration and with the Transportation department to reach a solution, but in the mean time, ask that instruments get dropped off with students and held here at HRHS. 
They will be safely stored. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working hard to find a solution.

Good Morning!

I hope that by now you're all comfortable with and having a great time with EBOP!  
I believe that we have a few students who are attending but maybe haven't registered yet.  If you could please do so asap - we would really appreciate it .  I believe that Mr. Rigolini has been reaching out to those who haven't registered as of yet.  

I know that some of you have heard that there are some issues with students taking their instruments on the bus.  Our Principal, Dr. Chris Page is talking with the District regarding this situation and trying to get it resolved.  We will keep you posted.  

Please note that there will be NO EBOP during Fall Break, October 14th - October 18th. 

I also wanted to let you know that I will be leaving HRHS as of October 1st.  It's been nice getting to talk to some of you if only through email!  The administration is working on getting my replacement, so if you will please be patient, I'm sure they will have someone soon.

Just a reminder that EBOP is now underway.  The Advanced classes started last week, and Beginning classes start this week.  If you haven't registered your student, please do so asap.  Please let us know if you have any trouble with registration or have any other questions.  

Classes start at 7:15am and end at 8:05am.  

Don't forget to purchase your Z-Pass.

Good Morning!

EBOP Registration is in full swing!  It's not too late to sign up your child.  If you've already done so, thank you very much!  I am posting some general information below, but please let us know if you have any other questions.   And please tell all of your friends who may not be familiar with this fantastic program.


We invite you to join EBOP! The Elementary Band and Orchestra Program (EBOP) is offered to 4th, 5th and 6th graders who attend school within HRHS Feeder Schools.

It’s more than music!  Learning to play a musical instrument helps students become team players, increases self-discipline, make friends, learn respect for the arts, and enhance their academic performance.

 Information regarding EBOP for the school year 2019/2020
EBOP will begin for Advanced classes the week of September 3rd.  Advanced classes will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 7:15am to 8:05 am.
Beginning classes will start the week of September 9th and will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:15am to 8:05am.
Please make sure that students arrive to practice at least 10 minutes early.
Please note:  In the event of inclement weather during the year, whether it be a late start or closing of Douglas County Schools, there will be NO EBOP.

Buses will pick students up from EBOP and take them to their schools.  Please note that Students will need a Z-pass for that bus ride.  Z-passes can be purchased at the following link, engaged.dcsdk12.org


EBOP concerts will be:
            October 23rd – Band Feeder Fest
            November 19th – Orchestra Concert
            February 13th – Band Concert
            May 4th – Spring Concert

There will be NO FOOD served before Concerts, so please make sure that your child is well fed and well hydrated before they arrive.   
Students should be at HRHS an hour before the start of the concert.
There will be new tee shirts for all students this year.  Attire for concerts will be their tee shirt and black jeans/pants. 
When attending an EBOP concert, we respectively request that you stay for the entire concert.
